I don't seem to be able to find a Nano that can be used with the FTDI adapter. I saw a Youtube video which showed this being plugged into a Nano (but that one didn't have a USB connector on it) but this obviously doesn't fit on the Elegoo Nano. The adapter can easily connect to the Arduino Ethernet, Mini, Mini Pro, LilyPad, LilyPad Simple, and. Status lights include power, RX and TX activity. 5V, Ground and a Reset pin are also exposed. I have an AZDelivery FTDI Serial Adapter FT232RL USB to TTL 3.3V 5.5V Module Mini Port for Arduino which I bought from Amazon. The USB Serial Adapter has an onboard mini-USB connector and 5 pins including RX (for receiving data from the computer) and TX (for transmitting data). I am a long term widows developer but I don't seem to be able to work around this. Neither before nor after this do I see any COM port being available. The drive is successfully Pre-installed in advance! I have tried downloading and installing the the driver but I get the following window opening after the install completes: I have purchased a pack of Elegoo Nano which have the CH341 USB/Serial chip. To install it on my model railway, I would like to have it on a Nano. I have successfully created my first sketch (for my model railway) and it works fine on a UNO R3.
